Tax Evasion and Tax Awareness Evidence from Jordan

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the determinant factors (contextual tax awareness, and ethical tax awareness) and their effect on tax evasion.

The determinant factors have been identified based on tax evasion literature and action research. In order to collect the data of study the researchers designed a survey. Data is collected from (492) taxpayers and (471) employees of income and sales tax department as respondents for the research questionnaire.

Findings of this study indicate that there is a positive effect of contextual & ethical tax awareness on tax evasion from the point of view of taxpayers & employees of the income and sales tax department.

Body Language and Consumer Persuasion: Evidence from Jordan

Abstract

This study aim to investigate of body language in terms of eye contact, gestures or body distance, and their impact on persuasion. The study was conducted in 2016 using surveys, which were distributed randomly among students in “Jordanian Universities”, using Google form. To achieve the purpose of the study, and in order to analyze the results, the researchers use simple linear regression and multiple linear regression analysis provided by SPSS 22. The results of the study indicated an impact of body language on consumer persuasion in Jordan use of body language factors (eye contact, gestures, and body distance).

The Impact of Marketing Strategy on Profitability in Medical Jordanian Corporations

Abstract

Marketing and advertising is a fundamental factor in the deployment of companies’ name and increase their profits, Therefore, this study aimed to identify whether there is an impact between Marketing and advertising expenses and profitability in industrial medicines public shareholding companies listed in the Amman Stock Exchange.

The sample of the study included the industrial pharmaceutical companies listed in the Amman Stock Exchange, during the period between 2009-2013. To achieve the purposes of the study, and to analyze the data extracted from the annual statements, the researcher used simple linear regression method.

The results of the study showed an impact of marketing and advertising expenses on the profitability of the pharmaceutical companies.

The paper provides a useful guide for the users of financial statements of Marketing and Advertising, since it provides information on possible effect on the company’s performance. In addition, the paper fills an information gap by addressing a range of valuation issues on Marketing and Advertising and offers relevant information guidance to the users of financial statements.

Factors Affecting Corporate Tax Evasion: Evidence from Jordan

Abstract

This study aims to point out the main factors that causing to tax evasion. It was relay on a sample of point views of external auditors in Amman city of 173 auditors. The main concluded were that tax rate, penalty, and company size have a statistical sign affecting on the tax evasion in Jordan. The study has recommended that there is a necessity to put a strategy for training to the employees who deal with the taxation according to the tax law.

Customer Relationship Management and Customer Retention in Jordanian Bank

Abstract

This study examined the impact of CRM Activities on bank’s customer retention in Jordan. In order to collect the data of study the researchers designed a survey, the sample was collected from (405) customers of Jordanian banks' as respondents for the research questionnaire in 2016, by using a random sampling method, using Google form and survey monkey. 388 questionnaires were usable, incomplete returned questionnaires had been eliminated. The statistical results provide evidence on the significant positive relationship between CRM Activities and Attitudes of bank’s customers. the significant analysis revealed that there is a significant positive relationship between the independent variables ( i,e CRM Activities represented Solving customers, Quality of service, Behavior of the employees, CRM technology; and Activities to retain) and Attitudes of Banks Customer as a dependent variable (trust, affective commitment, and customer retention), also the statistical analysis revealed that there is a no significant relationship between behavior of the employees and affective commitment, and activities to retain and customer retention.
